I am almost speechless. This is one amazing application. It's well unobtrusive, lightweight, lightning fast and well thought through. Absofuckinglutely brilliant.

The low rez is to optimize the add-on so it doesn't lag you to death. The images quickly increase in quality when you get close enough for it to matter. I'm sure they'll also improve it over time, making it more intuitive and fluid to switch between the site and the viewer.

This is a browser plugin that will pull images from several popular websites and allow you to browse them in a 3D environment. The environment offers slide shows, and various superfluous features.I believe this application is a bit of overkill, and that it is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Using a 3D environment to view 2D images is actually less productive than using a 2D environment, since there is no stacking, or modeling involved. The images are initially rendered in such low quality that viewing them from a distance, or at an angle offers no advantage to traditional methods. The problem with a lot of plugins is that they take you out of your normal browser environment. When I am browsing I don't want to have to switch immersive environments to interact with the web. This is exactly why popups and java windows have been shunned for so long.
