    When to Burn the Boats
  • Rated by an2net on Aug 18 2008, 5:30pm

A lesson from Antique Greece, about motivation and necessity. They were ordered to burn the boats so as to fight for victory in order to survive.

Good article! This reminds me of the saying "Better the devil you know, than the devil you don't know"...Unfortunately just this kind of 'fear' thinking will keep you stuck in realities we don't want in our lives! Thanks Kathmandau for posting this artcle.

What an awesome idea! It is definitely time to burn the boats! The option to retreat or surrender does not exist.

Sometimes you have to have no option... it will hinder you faith. Good article on just that very thing.

from the site: . . . fear can keep us from moving forward. Consider the missed opportunities in your life. Think about the relationships you didn't pursue, or end. Think about the career opportunities you allowed to pass by because you were more comfortable with the status quo.
