Not all of the photos "changed the world," but many are excellent pieces of photojournalism. Much beyond that, the comments on the pictures are incredible. I say incredible with a bad connotation. There's immense stupidity, ignorance, intolerance, immaturity and blind hatred.... more

Famous photos of wars, disaster, terrorist acts, poverty, etc. that changed the world. Photojournalists and their photosmake a difference. That is why the US government has so carefully maintained control over the images we're allowed to see from the Iraq and Afghanistant wars.

Truly breathtaking photo journalism. I remember some of these moments shown in the collection. Some of them quite viscerally. The power of picture to say something without words!
