From the page: "text" long list, some of the seemingly smallest programs blow me away with their capabilities, just recently a note pad program proved to be a most powerful and comprehensive editor.

An excellent list of freeware, though I'd recommend googling the ones you're interested in, just in case the links are bad or misdirections.

Some of the links no longer active, and I'd be weary before downloading some of the freeware stuff as it could be laden with virii or worse. However, I totally agree - it is a comprehensive list of freeware links.
