A personal blimp. The first flight of the Airship Alberto was on October 27, 2006. It is a 205,000 cubic foot hot air blimp with a ribbed envelope. In an airship, one does not fly, one does not drive. Instead, one travels in a most beautiful way that gives meaning to the word "journey". ~Hugo Eckener

- Personal blimp uses electric propulsion and hot air lifting for low operating costs. The site mentions silent operation, but my experience with hot air balloons is they are anything but silent when the (giant propane powered flamethrower) air heaters are in operation. I look forward to seeing it fly firsthand at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta this October.

- "The World's First Practical Personal Blimp." Hahaha! The best part is that they call it "practical." I wonder how much a school parking permit for this bad boy would cost.
