EALacey rated 56 months ago- A convenient one-page summary of Apollodorus's Library, the only ancient text to provide a "complete" Greek mythology from the origin of the gods to the death of Odysseus. Includes links to the Greek text and a 1921 English translation by J.G. Frazer (author of The Golden Bough). Perhaps more useful than the text itself are Frazer's notes, providing references to similar stories from other cultures and very thorough surveys of the variants of each myth as treated by ancient authors. Overall, an excellent place to start research into any of these stories. Note, however, that some of the terms used by Frazer in citing cross-cultural parallels may appear offensive by today's standards.
