It finally happened: "Responding to a takedown notice from Hasbro, the rights holder to Scrabble in the U.S., Facebook has pulled down the popular third-party word game Scrabulous. As of this morning, users who attempt to access the service on their Facebook account will be greeted with a note that reads "Scrabulous is disabled for US and Canadian users until further notice." The note prompts users to click a link for "developments in this matter," which redirects to a form wherein concerned players can enter their e-mail information. The note is signed by Scrabulous creators, Rajat Agarwalla and Jayant Agarwalla. "
