This is a fascinating exploration of how marketing and branding seek to leverage psychology to sell us stuff. We may be just as helpless with this information as without, but it's at least good to know how we're being manipulated. Double-plus good!

Awesome segment by frontline - if you're very interested in the world of marketing & persuasion in the age of capitalism, this is tops. Highly recommended!

Another outstanding presentation by PBS Frontline! I remember watching this for the first time in an undergraduate marketing class... and you can watch "The Persuaders" in full online.

Good beginning, laughable middle, deplorable end. I'm sure you can make up your own mind.
