  • frontline: secret history of the credit card: watch online | PBS

Good one to watch again in the wake of our subprime fiasco and banking bailout -- as well what might have been Elliott Spitzer's political assassination. Can anyone expect consumers to stay on the banking/credit bandwagon after this? Too risky...

No one ever said that credit cards were free... or that PBS DVDs should be free, either. At least we can watch this video online for free.

In this one-hour report, correspondent Lowell Bergman uncovers the techniques used by the industry to earn record profits and get consumers to take on more debt.

I don't know which is a bigger outrage, the credit card company tactics, or the price PBS/Frontline charges for the DVD of this 1-hour program: $30.

Should be mandatory viewing when using credit cards
