Check out the Place Colette entrance to the Palais Royal-Musee du Louvre station. It was redesigned in 2000 with arches of big glass beads. Very cool, right? This site has several different looking metro stations around the world. I also liked the Concorde metro in Paris.

These metro stations are gorgeous - put the Cairo Metro to shame, and absolutely spit in the grave of the London Underground!
