As an original Trekkie, I am NOT looking forward to this piece of crap movie. Since they decided to do a prequel, they could have at least cast it better. BLEH!
can't beleive people are already dismissing this on the strength of a 30 second teaser. personally i think it's going to rock, and breathe new life into a franchise which after 10 movies and 29 seasons (including the animated one) can still entertain and still throw up new ideas. as science progresses, so does science fiction. and vice versa. jj abrams has a slightly warped vision of everything and whether this movie ends up being fantastic or sucky, it will certainly be different, and if it gets people talking about trek again, all the better.
