I was always scared to wear my hair like I wanted to, to throw things together that I didn't have the confidence to wear out of my bedroom. I'm going to break out the tights and colored pumps.

- "Painfully Hip" may be a bit too pretentious a title for a thrift fashion blog. Many of the outfits hit, some miss, a few are in weird poses that are just so-so (don't stand pigeon-toed people!)... However there are some quietly elegant combinations to be found here. I seem to gravitate toward the wispy romantic dresses accented by bold color, or the more op-arty finds, or subtle use of pattern and unifying color in accessories.
