I first blogged this amazing story about a giant tortoise and a baby hippo ages ago. It's still in my archive somewhere, but this site has a video documentry showing how the two were brought together and how they live together. Both fascinating and beautiful.

The pair became best friends after Owen was stranded following the 2004 tsunami.
