ADD-ALLSTAR discovered 4 months ago- 376 MPG car from 1970's

Aliforma rated 3 months ago- Despite the fact that "only" 20% of the high mpg is attributable to the engine modification, the fact that this car, & so many other proof-of-principle test cars like it, have been around for decades without their engineering improvements swiftly integrated into production vehicles is yet more (circumstantial, but compelling) evidence of the collusion between the petroleum & auto manufacturing industries.

- Mixed feelings about this one and the page looks like ass. Bookmarked for later viewing

Lisakruger rated 4 months ago- 376 MPG? unbelievable!

Narly-Dude rated 4 months ago- Recent article in the PI Paper here. 'Guy has one at http://www.cosmopolitanmotors.com/. See http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/351903_needle20.html?source=mypi But it seems to me that these cars did a lot of coasting during the testing (???)

adrienned rated 4 months ago- From the page: "The Shell Oil 1973 Test Car 376 miles per Gallon"

MechanicalMan rated 4 months ago- The Shell Oil 1973 Test Car, this was pretty much a abandoned station wagon with a modified engine that allows it to travel 376.59 miles on a single gallon of gas.
