From the page: "If you're reading this, George Bush has reserved a bunk for you in one of his detention camps."

George Bush is building detention camps. Their purpose is "to support the rapid development of new programs," without specifying just what those "new programs" might be. But, read on to see if programs Bush already has in place are the ones he's planning on using to put you in one of those camps.

I can empathize with the sentiment, but this article is reactionary, badly written, and doesn't stand up to critical thinking.

From the page: "Its ridiculous to suppose that there are 8 million Americans plotting terrorist acts against the United States. To get 8 million, Bush would have to include everyone who reads and writes for OEN and all the other progressive websites that are critical of the Bush administration. Why? Well, because they're critical of the Bush administration. That's enough right there to get you on the list." "I am not unfriendly to the Bush administration. I am overtly hostile, adamantly opposed to, completely reject the legitimacy and authority of and advocate the immediate removal of the Bush administration. Unfriendly doesn't even come close. That guarantees that I'm on the list."

The American people will do nothing as usual, they'll sleep right through it all. When the government is given free reign and is trusted with absolute blind faith, when the constitution no longer matters, when rights are freely relinquished and those who govern are not held accountable for their actions anything can and will happen. Criminals will do what they can get away with and in America that's a lot. Expect much worse in the future America isn't America any longer.

I've heard about this plan, it's called operation white or some other color. The government has multiple plans for multiple disaster scenarios called different colors. However, I do believe this the only one dealing with U.S. citizens, and has not been declassified yet. The author is mistaken when he attributes this as some brilliant plan put in place by Bush. If this plan is a conspiracy, it was written by people smarter and more powerful than Bush. Ones with patience, who will wait until another "terrorist" attacks us and people are begging for internment camps for the sake of security.

I've seen multiple lines of commentary that add up to the same thing: preparation (much of it accidental) for martial law. From the page: "As most of the country has come to realize, George Bush is our enemy, the enemy of the United States...he has set in place procedures, plans, programs and mechanisms to complete his overthrow of our government..."

It's a fact that the government is building camps. It's a fact that John Ashcroft said it was a possibility that American's deemed enemy combatants could be put into internment camps. It's a fact that during WWII we DID place American citizens in internment camps. We've done it once before, who's not to say we will do it again. Peter Kirsanow of the U.S. Civil Rights Commission said that he "could foresee a scenario in which the public would demand internment camps for Arab Americans if Arab terrorists strike again in this country." If there's a future terrorist attack in America `'and they come from the same ethnic group that attacked the World Trade Center, you can forget about civil rights."

Are there not already enough of us in prison? Do you need an excuse to put more in there? Might as well convert the schools.
