- Though a great book, animal farm left me with a greater impression. I was very young when I read it, and it stayed with me forever. Unfortunately I read huxley's work before 1984, and i agree with jinky.stumbleupon.com regarding huxley. But it still doesn't take anything away from Orwell. Great writer!!

Winston is disgusted with his oppressed life and secretly longs to join the fabled Brotherhood, a supposed group of underground rebels intent on overthrowing the government.
