- An excellent site. Of course, the idea of collaboration is a double-edged sword. Like WikiPedia, this is subject to user input. Try looking at the outer edges of the "shared" family tree. You'll find several of most celebrities. I'm related directly to one of at least four Caius Julius Caesars to be found among the leaves, and a lot of the squares--over a thousand years old, remember, have nothing in them but "Living," and there are a lot of very old "ancestors" who were apparently born in Canada, long before anyone ever named it that, much less created a state called British Columbia! What I'm saying is, as valuable a tool as this is, use it ONLY as a tool. Not only is it subject to error, it's a prime target for Geeks with their litle data jokes. I mean, who REALLY believes Hera and Juno and other Gods and Goddesses and Titans and such belong in the human family tree??

- This site is great for genealogy research being that it is a shared database with combined knowledge and data at a single place.

- This has to be one of the best genealogy websites on the internet and I will tell you why!! THEY DO ALL THE WORK!!! .. You just have to provide them with some basic facts about your family, something your folks have given you, like the names dates places etc...where people came from say in the first or second maybe the third generation and 9 times out of ten...the databases are already done...they have linked you to your ancestors already. I was floored! I joined because I have a really difficult to find ggrandfather..but in joining I found a whole group of relatives and ancestors I didn't even know I belong to because my mothers grandmother died early and never shared with her own roots and genealogy. The program is wonderful...it reminds me a lot of a program I once used in college where i just input my raw data and poof..I get the answers to my questions..gee...do you think that I could input my house and get a clean house out it??? nahhh..that only happens on betwitched! I am not saying you don't have to verify the information...because if you are a good genealogist or you want to be, you should verify everything. But, some databases that have already been done by other researchers have been verified more than once, twice and three times. This is a site I can honest recomeend if you want to get started in genealogy and a good place to begin to input your data. And the staff is great and accessible!!! Which is a far cry from a lot of other genealogy lookup websites!!! This place gets an A+ and it is much cheaper than other places!
