Fodder for my customer service book; it's important to provide a fun interaction, and a big part of that is using phrases that don't feel like the same mechanical jive but something different that makes the customer like you (or enjoy or at least appreciate) personally. From that, the customer feels the company can't be all that bad if some chore has been made painless, but perhaps more importantly, the CSR feels they have actually helped someone, strengthening their bond to the company and their commitment to the customer. Scripts are the fun killer, encouragement and creativity are key. Simply replacing one common phrase for another is simply not enough.
