policy discovered 4 months ago- Really interesting website about animal research and science. Here's an excerpt: "In case you didn't know animals can live perfectly well with a permanent whole in their stomachs. Scientists call these surgically made holes, fistulas, which are covered by a canulla, a sort of cover from the outside world. They are used to test the digestibility of various cattle food, the cows are fed and as the food passes through her stomachs, scientist can just reach in and see how it is processed. As brutal as it might look, this doesn't hurt the animals at all, it actually prolongs their life, in case of stomach disease, they can receive helping medicine directly in there."

tommyhaych rated 7 weeks ago- This is just plain fucking cruel.

cosmicflurk rated 8 weeks ago- What, you all have never heard of a colostomy? It's the same thing.

leogarg rated 8 weeks ago- I think it's cruel, if it's real which I doupt. Without the barrier of the skin and all, those cows would probably die in days or even hours because of internal infects..

cornel44 rated 9 weeks ago- that's fucking awful. you shouldn't be allowed to do anything to animals that you wouldn't naturally do to humans.
