Zeeek discovered 7 weeks ago- Some discoveries in human evolution are so simple your grandmother knew it intuitively. Rice growing consumes vast amounts of fresh water in parts of the world where glacier fed rivers make up the drinking water for billions of people. As the Earths weather becomes more unpredictable due to global warming and glaciers retreat, rivers will be less able to sustain the populations. SRI rice gives hope to those people, the water available will be able to go so much further. If the rainy seasons can be harnessed to collect the rains.... now that glaciers aren't going to be around to hold up the flow down the river valleys!
