How pretentious! How embarrassingly true!

This is a pretentious article about pretentious people. I love literature, and I do look down a bit at my friends who are less choosy in their readings. Still, stuffy snobbishness is unacceptable. Also, "At least since Dante's Paolo and Francesca fell in love over tales of Lancelot, literary taste has been a good shorthand for gauging compatibility" is such an awkward, inaccurate reference to render it worthless beyond tickling and exciting people who have read the high school canon.
