From an October 2007 article in The New York Times, complete with a photo of Geoff Smith and Garrett Camp. (At least we get to see their faces, for a change.) Note that the four positive reviews come from "stumblers" such as Garrett Camp and Michael Buhr, SU's General Manager. At least seven of the 18 thumbs-up come from SU employees, and another one comes from stumbler Hapax, who was quoted in the article. I just changed my rating to a thumbs-down. From the page: "EBay plans to keep StumbleUpon independent and continue to operate it as a standalone service. Over time, it plans to let users stumble through eBay's vast database of items up for auction. "StumbleUpon makes money by charging Web sites that want to be included in its database or want to be shown to users more often. For now, these sponsored sites make up only a small portion of all the sites shown."
