- I've said it before and I'll say it again, Rudy Giuliani is trying to ride 9/11 to the White House in 2008. But that's not the worst of it - if Giuliani is elected, he'll continue the war on terror to its foregone conclusions - turn the United States into a police state all in the name of preventing the next terrorist attack, extend the occupation of Iraq until the end of his presidency, be forced to institute the draft due to returning veterans serving their maximum durations and sheer lack of public enthusiasm to join the war effort - and if that's not bad enough, that warmonger is likely to start several more preemptive wars starting with Iran and the descending to half of the Middle East, the so called terrorist states.
