BigW3260 discovered 4 months ago- From the page: ""Safest for everybody?" Pizza Hut punishes employee for defending himself"

askjosh rated 4 months ago- Clearly the NRA-ILA website needs to hire someone who can write in plain english. It doesn't have to a fetid dripping propaganda piece, let the story sell itself.

mistac rated 4 months ago- NRA ? gtfo

- So, the senator's "going to be watching Pizza Hut"? Oh, boy! I feel safer already! Maybe he should be watching for repeat violent offenders, not for the company who has a firearm rule that is exactly like EVERY OTHER company's firearm rule. It's simple: you don't take guns to work.

olegnep rated 4 months ago- i know someone who worked at pizza hut delivering pizzas , he had just moved to the usa with his 14 year old daughter and wife and he was jumped like this , they punctured his right eye and now he only has one usable one. congrats pizza hut , a man tries to defend himself and you fire him.

nitsedy rated 4 months ago- Petedk, they put him in danger, they did nothing to mitigate that danger. He did. He was in the right and they were in the wrong. To punish him for doing what was necessary to survive is simply stupid. Carruthers, he wasn't in the place of business. Read it again.

slayermet420 rated 4 months ago- Pizza Hut needs to seriously reconsider their policy.

Mr-Carruthers rated 4 months ago- I don't know what the state law is in Iowa, but it seems that he was committing a felony simply by carrying a concealed handgun into his workplace, even if he had a permit. That would be the case in Ohio if there was a company policy against guns. At the very least, he broke his company's policy on an important matter. Concealed weapons might work in some areas, but companies should be able to opt-out of guns in the workplace.

Petedk rated 4 months ago- Pizza Hut isn't punishing him for defending himself, but for carrying a gun while working. Which is just fine!

KDBaross rated 4 months ago- let's use this as a reason to start a debate on the second amendment, who wants to go first?

- i agree with the article, but i think a less emotionally charged article would be more appropriate for a "serious" organization
