- Let's GET OFF COMBUSTIBLE FUELS! Ethanol has certainly proven NOT be to the answer as food prices continue to go up and up. If we want fuel let us find a multipurpose plant that's NOT food and doesn't require oil to grow. We need to get some Systems thinkers in the governments WORLDWIDE. From the page: "Food costs worldwide spiked 23 percent from 2006 to 2007, according to the FAO. Grains went up 42 percent, oils 50 percent and dairy 80 percent."
