    Why'd she step down? Family's important to her and she may have decided her time would be more effectively spent out of that office. Palin's the reason McCain did as well as he did. It was stupid of him, and other republicans to shut her down. As far as '012,who knows? But Obama and company are easy targets, if the Rs stop acting like whimpering little... She's far more qualified (any Governor is) than Obama and her chances would be good even with our national media kissing Obama's feet.

    Good for her. She didn't want to run for re election and didn't want to be a lame duck governor so she resigned. She will be back. I'm certain she is going to strengthen her resume. Obama will not have an easy run in 2012 because people are now seeing that his policies are weakening this country. The ignorance of the left has been making fun of her youngest and his down syndrome.
