This well-cited article documents and debunks the sexist and homophobic claims made by American government-funded abstinence-only programs. Some of these quotes are actually quite shocking, even more so because they are classed by the publishers as educational resources.

Abstinence plans are a major waste of money. People can make their own decision (or in some cases the parents will whip their kids with the Bible to get them to be abstinent).

I've always known that Abstinence-Only Education is messed up, but this well-researched site shows just how extraordinarily messed up it truly is. I can't believe there's federal funding for this trash. I'm glad all the public schools I've attended did not follow this disturbing method.
