right in principle (there is a "root cause"); wrong in practice. (The constitution of the USA is merely another set, albeit a little more liberal than most, of Authoritarian rules). The root cause is our continuing blind faith in Leadership

From the page: "In 2008, Congress overwhelmingly passed the bank bailout. There was immense citizen uproar, and yet very few candidates who voted or the bailout lost their jobs. It was clearly unconstitutional, it lacked all common sense, it was rammed through Congress with no debate, it reeked of cronyism, and yet there were no consequences. " The public could start an uprising and force consequences.. .. if so motivated. Governments neglecting concerns of their citizens is pretty much a global thing. E.g. The Lisbon Treaty. If governments had any self-preservation left, they'd stop steamrolling through their unwanted ideas like ID cards and Satelite-Tracking based road tax.

Very well written piece, the first commenter is almost on track except for one minor point. He talks about people who go off into third parties instead of changing the ones they are in now. Most people do not have enough political influence to change the two main stream parties. No matter how loud they scream and yell the political machine of the Democrats and the Republicans cuts out the regular people. They only cater to their cronies. Then spend millions of dollars telling us what is wrong with the other party. Personally I believe that the political parties are the root cause of the problem. To me there is absolutely not one Iota of difference between Democrats and Republicans they both voted to steal our money to bail out their friends. If you do think there is a difference please do some research about our foreign policy and see if the new President has changed anything that he promised. Gitmo still open, Missile defense system in Poland still there. War in Afghanistan still going, War in Iraq winding down but will have American troops there for the rest of our lives and beyond. Our foreign policy is still exactly the same as it was http://www.stratfor.com/ The only change i have seen so far is the lack of it in my pockets.

Well written article on our society's deliema- Strike the root - get the government back on track - Is it not Written - For the people ,By the people in the constitution - So why are we as Americans allowing the government to treat us like this - over 9% job lost - we are not only in an economical crisis but a spiritual one. Let us God fearing Americans regain holt of what is right and just and impeach ,overthrow the current government for they are part of the devils plans to see our great nation fall.
