- By these definitions I am a terrorist. And so are you.

nooner rated 7 months ago- From the page: "The end of Free Speech in America has arrived at our doorstep. It's a new law called the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act, and it is worded in a clever way that could allow the U.S. government to arrest and incarcerate any individual who speaks out against the Bush Administration, the war on Iraq, the Department of Homeland Security or any government agency (including the FDA). The law has already passed the House on a traitorous vote of 405 to 6, and it is now being considered in the Senate where a vote is imminent. All over the internet, intelligent people who care about freedom are speaking out against this extremely dangerous law: Philip Giraldi at the Huffington Post, Declan McCullagh at CNET's News.com, Kathryn Smith at OpEdNews.com, and of course Alex Jones at PrisonPlanet.com" This is not at all about prohibiting speech promoting the assassination of foreign world leaders such as Hugo Chavez and promoting violent revolution in their countries such as Venuzuala. This is only about prohibiting speech that would appear to be aggravating the interminable violence in Iraq. That is unfortunate because we really need the means to make Pat Robertson shut the fuck up!

brmwk rated 7 months ago- To Poiso, Google it, don't whine. Jakad, do more research before calling down others for something you didn't do yourself. THINK! To CelticWarrior, I agree. Don't blindly believe. But don't blindly dismiss either! To duconihilum (haven't we crossed words before?) Wow, you mastered sarcasm. Now try to use those brain cells for something worthwhile. Thinking. If you thought, you'd realize that this IS a serious problem. There ARE work camps and if this progression isn't stopped, Chavez's government will look nice compared to what we have here.

Poiso rated 7 months ago- in the future i would like to read real bills rather than silly blogs like this

jakad rated 7 months ago- Warmed up BS. The US is no more on the road to fascism than the author of the article is on his way to widespread recognition for his writing ability.

CelticWarrior rated 7 months ago- Is it really necessary that I stumble across this reactionary crap regarding this same issue in 4 out of my last 5 stumbles? Read the bill yourself and use your own brains people. Don't believe everything these self-important bloggers have to say.

Spartz rated 7 months ago- Good article. Important read. At some point he makes a suggestion that the US is moving towards thoughtcrime and after that immediately starts saying this law makes thoughtcrime possible. I don't see the bridge. Big gap. That really spoiled it. Read the law though.

AvangionQ rated 7 months ago- What the hell - is this for real? Is Congress really sleeping on the job - or did they just forget the First Amendment? If I hear any other stories confirming this one, I'm gonna make a few signs with all the fuck-ups this Congress has pushed through as unconstitutional laws on their watch, taking a day trip and marching on the Capitol Building the very same week.

duconihilum rated 7 months ago- From the page: "The end of Free Speech in America has arrived at our doorstep." And you can actually say that?
