Energy producing flytraps. Nothing wrong with that, or is it?

Ah lovely. So you have that other experiment where robots lie to eachother to get to power sources, and now you have robots that need to consume to keep themselves powered. Do you see where I'm getting here? "Oh look no more flies in the house; i'll chew that foot instead"

    An amazingly bad idea.

    Its actually a late-medieval invention, wind-up fly-eater.

From the page: "Their prototypes trap and digest pests like flies and mice to gain energy." uhm... ew... mice?? 1. Who has a mouse problem bad enough to power this thing on a regular basis? 2. I can't imagine this thing would smell very good, and 3. The table doesn't kill the mice, it just drops them into the microbial digester. That's cruel. Kill the poor little bastards first, at least. Don't make them suffer needlessly.

Stop doing these things - I suppose the tech is already there though... I don't want robots that will eat me.. Although I suppose that would be a good way to get rid of our dead... drop them into robots vats that then power our homes.
