This take on the dynamics of economies is neither socialist or capitalist, but systems-based, sustainable and humane. Paul Hawken is a real visionary for entrepreneurs who aren't bloodless twits.

The Natural Capital Institute serves the people who are transforming the world. We are a team of researchers, teachers, students, activists, scholars, writers, social entrepreneurs, artists, and volunteers committed to the restoration of the earth and the healing of human culture. We do two things: we describe pathways of change in books and research reports, and we create tools for connecting the individuals, information, and organizations that create change.

Given the renoun(?) of their earlier books, this could be a valuable site. Part of the approaching tipping point.

From the page: "The Natural Capital Institute began in 2002 as an offshoot of Paul Hawken's work and writings, in particular his books Ecology of Commerce and Natural Capitalism: Creating the Next Industrial Revolution. Both books take the environmental and social degradation caused by industry head on." Paul Hawken's latest venture.
