gjone66 rated 8 weeks ago- bullshit. this sort of thing was what that jon benet kid was in, and she died. unadulterated bullshit ...

mysticalspork rated 8 weeks ago- Retouching gets enough bad press as is, what with the "real beauty" camp trying to blame unrealistic ideals on polished magazine covers rather than vice versa. I'm not thumbing this down over its supposed impact on children's self esteem. I'm thumbing it down because this is the worst fucking hack job I have ever seen.
I'm sick of those articles written by bloggers who think they're so enlightened because they've realized that images are edited, the ones that are half generic empowerment shpeil and half links to the portfolios of horrible amateurs with a copy of Photoshop Elements who solve all of their problems with Gaussian Blur and Liquify. Those are the examples that are put forward to prove that this industry is evil and must be destroyed.
I don't mind novices. It wasn't so long ago that I thought the best way to do skin was a color fill layer at 50% opacity. But in the same way that it's easy to convince yourself that your first image ever is Vogue-worthy, it's easy to forget that real retouching--the subtle kind--is nothing like this.- Retouching gets enough bad press as is, what with the "real beauty" camp trying to blame unrealistic ideals on polished magazine covers rather than vice versa. I'm not thumbing this down over its supposed impact on children's self esteem. I'm thumbing it down because this is the worst fucking hack job I have ever seen.

TheGreatVorelli rated 2 months ago- Are you kidding me? What is wrong with these people. Some of these little girls look like they are around 17 years old with all the makeup they pack on them. Why can't kids just be kids anymore? I can't imagine letting my little girl go around looking like that. Not to mention, what is wrong with these parents wanting to have thier childs photo retouched to make them "pretty" Kind of a slap on the face there, good parenting skills. -_- Sick..

Ror87 rated 2 months ago- Wow, how to make a kid look like a mannequin with disgusting make up. "naturalbeautiescontest" hahaha, irony doesn't exist for these people. Feels taboo.

TheErinyes rated 2 months ago- criminal

dornorozeto rated 3 months ago- Fucking disgusting. This makes me physically ill. There is no excuse for "fixing" the "flaws" in photographs of infants and children. The person responsible for this vile service should be forced to pay the massive future therapy bills for all of the poor kids who now feel they can't be good enough without being a creepy Photoshop clone.

Fluffymonkeyem rated 4 months ago- I want to stop stumbling on this crap. any mother who would get a picture of their child retouched is a bad mother. what a *great* way to raise your child to have self esteem.../sarcasm

jamhottle rated 7 months ago- ..pageant photo retouching: for when your child isn't quite beautiful enough.....warning: there is a predominantly wrong feeling about this practise...
