  • Why I am an abortion doctor

From the page: "Today, in Canada and the U.S., septic shock from illegal abortion is virtually never seen. Like smallpox, it is a "disappeared disease."" Lest we forget why Abortion needs to be a personal choice.

I have daughters; their choice in this should be just that, their choice, it's their body, their life. He says this on his site: 'I can take a woman, in the biggest trouble she has ever experienced in her life, and by performing a five-minute operation, in comfort and dignity, I can give her back her life'

Whatever you think about abortions, you have to give this doctor some respect for his dedication. One thing I have a problem with, is labeling this under feminism. Yes, abortions can be performed only on women, but I refuse to think of this as a matter of equality. Then again, it wouldn't be the first time when I think about so-called "women's rights" as human rights. I don't know, I guess I have a problem with feminism in general.

SawChain is a not-so-pleasant euphemism for troglodytic assholery.

"five minute operation" is a pleasant euphemism for "kill her baby."

From the page: "Why do I do abortions, and why do I continue to do abortions, despite two murder attempts?"

Never fails to amaze me that these so-called 'pro lifers' are so ready to kill. Abortion is an important function: not all women have healthy pregnancies or can afford to have another mouth to feed. They're denied access to birth control or told it's wrong to take it. Other women simply want the choice to do what they want with their bodies and their lives. Who, really, has a right to stop it?

Some years ago I spoke to a class of University of British Columbia medical students. As I left the classroom, a student followed me out. She said: "Dr. Romalis, you won't remember me, but you did an abortion on me in 1992. I am a secondyear medical student now, and if it weren't for you I wouldn't be here now."
