- Adding vodka to gelatine solution is more about adding cold/room temperature water rahter than alcohol. They should have tried making a gelatine-hot wather mixture with minimal amount of water (just enough of it), and then pour some really high-proof liquids - tequila, absinthe or just plain spirit (96-98% of alcohol, as high as it gets)...

Instead, enjoy the results of their experiements, and think of all the time and money saved.
As a word of warning to those who might attempt to duplicate this experiment at home, be aware that it produces Jell-O shots that have four or more times the alcohol content of regular Jell-O shots.
