Comely1 discovered 40 months ago- New Pyramid from the USDA Take a tour of the new pyramid in this animated feature. http://www.mypyramid.gov/global_nav/media_animation-presentation_eng_p c.html

Kymus rated 14 months ago- The USDA Food Guide Pyramid is a pathetic excuse for nutrition. I work as a Health Counselor and have certifications in Holistic Nutrition as well as Integrative Nutrition. By my education alone, it's obvious that the guidelines put out by the USDA Food Guide Pyramid is incredibly unhealthy. It's interesting to note however that this food pyramid is the result of corporate lobbying! Take a look at Marion Nestle's book Food Politics in which she describes what she witnessed as a surgeon general that oversaw the original creation of this "food guide". Also see the Honest Food Guide; that will keep you much healthier than this piece of junk.

Cavale rated 22 months ago- I discovered this page's food intake and physical activity tracking devices a few days, and I thought it was pretty spiffy. Who wouldn't want to see a graph that charts their daily intake of the food groups over the past month, or exactly how many calories they burnt today? So I utilized this site for a few days, and I obediently input all of the food I ate that day and the portion sizes and I chose my daily activities from the given list. Then, today, I found that this list was seriously lacking. For example, nowhere on it do you find activities like "Eating acid on an empty stomach, going swimming, riding your bike, roller skating, swinging on a swingset, and staying up for 48 hours". So who, really, can use this list??? Does anyone live this way?

missbehave rated 33 months ago- "MyPyramid Plan can help you choose the foods and amounts that are right for you." That really got my attention. Finally, there is someplace that understands that not everyone can do a general diet. To figure out what you need to be eating, click on My Pyramid Plan on the side menu. Enter your age, sex, and activity level, and it will calculate what types of things you need to eat and how much of them you should get weekly. You can then click each food group to get tips on what kinds of things count for that area. It will even give you meal ideas

Nickname-0 rated 34 months ago- Udo's Pyramid is the best and simplest, bar none.

pageparadise rated 36 months ago- I like the interacative aspect as well s the worksheet and online tracker they offer....the information and advice is questionable, BUT I can see this appealing to a larger (and I mean that on several levels) audience...not the already health people
