Amerikan airports will now sport "Behaviour Detection Officers" whose job it is to decide who the terrorists are based on their facial expression. Frown or grimace and you could find yourself on your way to Camp X-ray as an "enemy combatant." No, this is not a joke. Has anyone told the Amerikans that 1984 is not an instruction manual?

Yea, everyone will be wanting
that U.S. Green Card now.
Where can I get one?

Just remember to smile for the cameras,
buddies, and God help you if you're
"Mediterranean-looking", Muslim
or nervous at airports.

This will make me so paranoid, that I will grimace. From the page: "Aug. 16, 2007 - It was bound to happen. Now even a frown or grimace can get you into trouble with The Man. "Specially trained security personnel" will be watching passengers for "micro-expressions" that will reveal treacherous agendas and insidious intentions at airports around the country. These agents, who may literally hold your fate in their hands have been given a lofty, Orwellian name: "Behavior Detection Officers." thank you Judefa for this link. http://judefa.stumbleupon.com/

From the page: "â€Behavior Detection Officers†are now watching passengers†facial expressions for signs of danger. Itâ€s a new level of absurdity for America."

Sounds soooo true, I got in trouble for making "ugly" faces during staff development. We really need to get a grip. I retaliated by telling my "superior" that the staff development sucked and if you don't like my face don't look at it. Oddly enough I still have my job!

From the page: "'Behavior Detection Officers' are now watching passengers' facial expressions for signs of danger. It's a new level of absurdity for America." Sigh. Well, they'll be overloaded with work, given all the grumpy people traveling.

This is the most outrageous mess I have read in a long while.
