    Award winning site/mag that specializes in investigative journalism, but without being dry or crunchy. If you read it years ago, take another look. It's not your mother's Mother Jones.

    Sensational, but not in an "entertainment news" kind of way like main stream news, which puts hard news in the back seat behind celebrity deaths, cats stuck in trees and tragic stories about nice old ladies in a neighborhood just like yours. Sensational in the HARD NEWS kind of way, where they give you stories that are usually buried because they're too terrible or the advertisers would be uncomfortable. The kind of interesting stuff that shocks and amazes because you hadn't even thought of the juicy problem they're putting a spotlight on, like children born to women who are in prison or the absence of a national water plan.
