I can't stand this stereotype. It's easy to single out the bad American cosplayers from the good Japanese cosplayers. There are plenty good and bad ones on each side. Oh and that Rei Ayanami Japanese cosplay is actually a wax sculpture.

I realize that after I post this, all of you will most likely whine that I'm not appreciating the "funny" pictures. But I must agree with Kirro and others. You know, maybe these Americans aren't super models with tons of money to spend on expensive costumes. Maybe they're just normal people who happen to love anime and would like to share their obsession with others. For me, $150 is max on cosplay, and I buy cosplay, what, every few years? Now, to most people that's still a lot of money. But think about the cost of the expensive, detailed ones. Back on the "model" aspect. Not to offend the Americans in these pictures, but they aren't exactly "America's Next Top Models." Now to the Japanese photos. Don't these people look like they could be on magazines, in movies, dramas, ect? Don't get me wrong, I love Japan and Japanese people. I went to Japanese camp for 2 weeks and plan to spend the next 6 years studying the language. If I work hard enough, I may be able to actually go to Japan. But I also care about defending those out there who were offended by this. Thank you for your time. Now you may continue with your "lol so funy" and "omg that's ugly!!11" and feel free to the ignore this, because heck, no one cares.

I'll admit most of these are bad. I laughed but that doesn't mean Americans can't all cosplay. They just picked the worst of the bunch and kept going
