Very good chore chart, and I know her son is young, but the chores should be more "above and beyond". Going to bed? Dishes in sink? Going to school? These are things I expect all of my children to do without being told, much less getting a reward.

Monetary rewards also work well for older children, but this ticket concept is brilliant for little ones because they value quantity (2 of anything is better than 1 of anything).
