DISCLAIMER: IF YOU ARE ONE OF THE "HAVES" YOU NEED NOT READ ANY FURTHER as a citizen of the united states, when i look at this world map of natural resources, it becomes obvious to me that my nation is at a marked disadvantage. our natural resources are very limited. in the shadow of the bush administration's belligerent stance against our traditional allies, as well as any nation perceived to be "different", i'm forced to wonder about the future. we've had so many years of "us vs them" leadership in this country, when we should have been forging ties around the world for the betterment of all people. our current president ran on a platform of "hope". as we all know- hope alone is not enough. we must come together and work for the change we all need to: 1/ create a sustainable, renewable and nonpolluting energy program, 2/ development of more efficient food resources, cultivation and distribution, 3/ concerted efforts to bridge the gaps in understanding between the varied cultures of the world and 4/ the protection of individual rights. if nothing is done to overcome our species propensity for greed, ignorance, intolerance, wastefulness and arrogance; these poisons of the human spirit will end the world as we know it. there will be the few who have everything they need/want and the masses will be left to fend for themselves. the realities which face us are no longer ignorable- and time is running short. i hope anyone who reads this will think long and hard and attempt to plant the seeds of understanding in everyone we come into contact with.

Interesting, but could've been better presented. In its current form, the lines leading to the countries are worthless for anyone who knows basic geography.
