These are all very good things for everyone to learn. One that I've especially learned the hard way is #3 Some people are toxic - avoid them.

Great words of wisdom from a great designer. A must read to anyone in the design field. Not too mention a great conversation piece. I would argue that absolute certainty is not as evil as this essay makes it seem. A competitive runner can not run nearly as far or as fast before eradicating all doubt in their abilities first. Doubt often hinders performance.

There are some good pieces of advice here, but also a lot of crap. Don't think that because a person sounds motivational, what he says is necessarily right.

I thought I'd saved this, but apparently not. Great words from a great designer (and human bean), Milton Glaser. (Look it up!)

Generally good, but I'm sort of tired of the idea behind #8. Doubt has become a bit too fetishized in intellectual circles, as if it is inherently good itself. Ironically, I've found that it just as often seems to lead to the "self-righteousness and narcissism" the writer deplores in those who are "certain" about some things.

One...it was located a the aiga.com site. Two...great words of wisdom from someone on the bleeding edge of design and still has a brain. Three...Milton Glaser. Much appreciado!
