anvilius discovered 31 months ago- The Midland Hotel is a wonderful building. Instead of being threatened with closure it should be the centrepiece of Morecambe's seafront regeneration programme. It began life as an extravagant gesture of hope at a time of economic and political uncertainty and offered a vision of a better future on many different levels. It still can fulfil this role.
