Xtine66 discovered 18 months ago- Build a Dalek to scare drinkers Wednesday, December 6, 2006 A Dalek, off its face on Stella A Doctor Who fan has made a Dalek he can sit inside, complete with voicebox, to scare away rowdy students from his street. It rasps: 'I don't like students. You will be exter-min-ated!' at passers-by. Andrew Simpson, 22, who took eight months to make the Doctor Who creature at a cost of £1,000, claims his tactics have worked and the street is quieter. He said: 'We live right by the university and there's loads of them here - but they're no match for the Dalek.' Mr Simpson, who has a TV and film memorabilia business, now plans to make it squirt water and smoke, and take it into the centre of his home city of York - this time just as a bit of fun. 'The best bit is just sitting in it and waiting for someone to approach. When someone comes up to touch you shout "Exterminate!" and they jump out of their skin.'
