markchenjd rated 8 months ago- Math isn't about gimmicks. The video never explained why this works, which only further mystifies math, it makes it seem as if math is only about learning "tricks". For the record, the reason it works, essentially, is that it breaks down the number into a+b where a=100. (a+b)^2 = a^2 + 2ab + b^2.
