- Only works for IE?!? Jesus... This prank works for ALL applications (not just web browsers) and ALL OPERATING SYSTEMS. The only difference is the path of the hosts file and the means of editing it with the appropriate text editor. In fact, you don't even need a text editor to append text to the end of any text file. Just use the >> operator on the command line. Amazing what you can do when people are logged in with administrator rights. Funny how it's only Windows people that do that. Go figure.
