exigentsky rated 8 days ago- I was born in another country and learned English in middle school. It's ridiculous and embarrassing how many Americans butcher their own language. Here's another common and nonsensical one: "There's three children in that house." or "There's tons of extras." No, it's ARE. Remember, it's plural. The other one is misusing less and fewer. For example: "There's less than two hundred cars in that lot." This extremely illogical. It should be: There are fewer than two hundred cars. If that didn't sound wrong enough, consider this: There are less exemptions for criminals. Logical is: There are fewer exemptions for criminals. It's a countable quality.

markchenjd rated 3 weeks ago- Thumbs up only because I can't believe people are making this kind of mistake. Do they even listen to themselves?

- The "is-is" problem. Good grammar (& vocabulary) is a major turn-on. There. I said it. This man should be my boyfriend. There. I said it.

NAParker333 rated 4 weeks ago- "Is-is" is a BAD habit that most kids find themselves learning from adults. There are worse in the world of linguistic faux pas, but this one in particular grates on my nerves!!

Flaneur2008 rated 4 weeks ago- What it is? is a teaspoon of honey I> make the medicine go down..

willensmacht rated 4 weeks ago- Very entertaining. I also like the way he used his little "rant" as an opportunity to expand global awareness of pressing issues, though I found some images a bit too harsh. The point would've still been well made without some of them. However, nothing beats the insecure, low IQ nobodies who got so offended at the "grammar nazi." Hilarious, I tell ya.
