He was a good man. I grew up watching him and had a chance to see him during a tour of WQED back in 2000.

A fun review of Mr. Rogers, the man. I've always liked Mr. Rogers because he liked me, just the way I am....(and he wanted to live in a neighborhood with me).

I loved Fred Rogers. I still have his show on on the days when I watch my little charge, even though Nick prefers TeleTubbies to Mr Rodgers. When I'm having a bad day Mr Rogers' soothing voice seems to make everything not so bad after all. I heard recently that PBS stations across the country are opting to reduce the Mr Rogers Neighborhood shows to once weekly, instead of daily. I think that's too bad. Everyone needs a daily visit to the Neighborhood. (Pittsburgh will be the exception; we will continue to offer Mr Rogers on a daily basis, since the shows originated here)
