Sad when homosexual relationships must be explained but heterosexual ones are just accepted, no explanation needed.

Censorship... only in America. Much a-do about nothing. This scenario has played out in the U.S. too many times. It is time for people to be responsible for their OWN, not the government, or in this case, the Library.

These people are just teaching their children to judge at a young age.

From the page: "The tale about a disgruntled queen who demanded that her son marry a princess looked like the average children's book to the mother of two when she scooped it up along with about nine others at the Lower Macungie Library. She had no idea the book has been the subject of a federal lawsuit and controversy in other parts of the country."

Do you think the title of this book might have been a clue? Seriously, what kind of idiot picks up a book with a title like "King & King" and doesn't try to figure out what it's about before checking it out? Perhaps the parents should take a reading comprehension refresher course at the local elementary school.

I wouldn't go as far as reading it to student's in a classroom, but face it parents, your children are dealing with stronger issues at a younger age in this era. Some of it is sad, but it's things like this I take a moderate stance on. I don't believe in censorship by any means, I think it should be the parent's job. And really, look through the books before you read them to your children. You have to research things before if you want your children not to see certain things. I also did not like the "it made me sick" comment. So my final stance. It's an issue. Deal with it.

I understand that some things offend some people. That is why you need to censor yourself. Previous comments have said the rest of what I had to say... I applaud the librarian's stand. One parent does not have the right to censor for everyone else's children. I certainly don't care to be censored by someone else!

thats ridiculous, way to teach tolerance mommy! only 40 years ago they banned any books on blacks from libraries. I hope her children grow up and are gay and then find out and disown the parents.
