Who would be better qualified to give this company new focus and direction than the original founders? If their offering is "well below" what Ebay wants, then who is going to value it more?

By 2010 Ebay plans to hold an IPO or Initial Public Offering, which will separate Skype from its parent.

All the buzz about Skype to be sold off in 2010 ... "When the IPO is held next year, Ebay says that it will remain a shareholder in the new company."

Didn't know SU was owned by Ebay. But both SU and Skype were a bad fit for Ebay so the move to divest is a smarter move for Ebay than their decision to acquire them earlier.
