Very good puzzles. Still didn't figure most of them out. And no, first problem is not crap. It's completely solvable using just the information obtained in the problem description, without coming up with any 'deus ex machina' or anything. (but yeah, the math behind evaluating the probability of success for the optimal strategy is not really easy)

The first problem was crap. Far too many details were left out, and the explanation took far too many liberties to be acceptable to me. It's like saying "You're trapped in a room with no way out, how do you escape?" and then explaining, "Well, duh, you drive the bulldozer through the wall."
